Botanical works

My work painting flowers and plants is always informed by my education in Horticulture. Between when I had a middle-management corporate job and now being an independent artist, I took a year to study Horticulture and received a trade diploma in ornamental horticulture. I continue to study plants and my current botanical teaching has incorporated how colonizers shaped what we know and think about plants today and what Indigenous knowledge about plants is not well known - including their original appearance and uses.
