Midsummer Storm

the prompt for this show as to create a piece that was not a self-portrait but represented who you are. 

3-d piece is approximately 15 lbs and 6" deep, 24" x 36" outside frame

Mixed media includes:

*Bottle caps, nails and embroidery floss on wood
*Painted butterflies on strings that float across the piece with a hand crank
*Bear is acrylic on wood panel
*Crochet clouds
*Hand dyed paper poppies

​Eyes are a recurring theme in my work. I created these three wall-hanging clay sculptures for Push/Pull's annual Collective Conscience show. 

​Charles, a mixed media sculpture mounted on a square wood panel. He was a sample project for a teen art class. Made from air dry clay, paper, glue and bit and pieces of other materials.
